Join us for the London Borough of Bexley's first Lantern Parade on Thursday 7 December: A spectable of light, featuring food stalls, music, and an arts and crafts fair with artwork from our very own studio artists.
The parade is the culmination of work made by children and young people attending free lantern-making workshops by Bow Arts artist educator Tessa Garland. An internationally renowned artist and curator, Tessa has been working with local children to make lanterns for the parade, using the work of Roald Dahl as inspiration.
Whether you're participating in the parade, or looking for alternative handmade Christmas gifts, come and get festive and #LetItGlow in this celebration of arts and crafts at Bexley - the perfect countdown to Christmas!
Bexley Lantern Parade is free to attend - RSVP here.
We advise those wishing to participate in the parade to arrive 15 minutes in advance to light lanterns.
Pop-up workshops will be running at the former Bensons Bed shop in Market Place, Bexleyheath, every Saturday from October 28 - December 2 and are free to attend.
