Stunning Fine Art, Design and Crafts from an east London collective with 25 years experience in presenting a brilliant show

BBBC Open Studios 2010 Presents...

Twenty artists, designers and makers bring you an evening and weekend of open studios, fine art, crafts and contemporary design.

An eclectic group of 20 exhibitors, all who exhibit and sell successfully independently, come together with creative enterprises at the Bromley by Bow Centre once a year to showcase, celebrate and share their expertise with visitors. Many are widely known in the UK and overseas.

“This is our opportunity to open the doors and invite all to come and experience our work. Local communities, centre supporters, the business and art community London wide are all welcome as we seek to further expand our commissioning networks and exhibiting opportunities.” (group statement)

Visitors can meet established east London artists and designers and have the opportunity to buy affordable works directly from them.

The 2010 event will also showcase the launch of Artychoke Products. These are garden-related craft products produced by Working Wonders social enterprises at the Bromley by Bow Centre: PoLLeN, Arteast, Community Care and Young @ Art.

From 4pm – 10pm on Friday 19th November, guests will have exclusive access to stone, glass, painting, ceramic and carpentry studios plus the chance to see exhibited works throughout the centre. Studios will also be open on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November 12 – 4pm.

Pie in the Sky Café at the Centre will be open from 4pm on Friday for a full range of delicious meals and snacks, and for coffee and cakes on Saturday and Sunday.

From 6pm on Friday the church space will be open and there will be a chance to enter the Decoration Tombola. All exhibitors at the event and many groups at the Centre have made hand crafted tree decorations as prizes. Proceeds to support art and horticultural activities run by the charity.
