Rebus is a self contained musical instrument and interactive system that radically innovates the 100 years old Theremin technique. It fits in a metal box that can be carried around in a small case. One antenna transmits the electromagnetic signal generated by a synthesiser, the other detects it.
The detected signal information is passed to a microprocessor (Bela) in the form of two Voltages which can be mapped and processed to suit an infinite variety of compositions.
The instrument outputs a stereo audio signal, it features stereo input and CV output, it is intuitive and can be plugged and played.
