The Millers Tale - Storyboard

Situated in Canterbury, this unit saw the design of an information centre and landscaped gardens on the site of a disused water mill. The development of my proposal takes inspiration directly from the area’s history and aims to create a reminiscent landscape that establishes an atmosphere for viewing the rest of the city.

Using Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Miller’s Tale, the landscape design combines fictional literary narrative with the historical narrative of the city itself, achieving the aims of the brief whilst weaving itself into the historical fabric of the city.
