Deep in the grass, there's a place to paint. That's where I take my sketchbook, whatever the weather. I'm regularly around the skirts of Epping Forest and sometimes even as far away as Lake Banguweulu in Africa and Monte Sibillini in Umbria, Italy. But it's on my home patch where I get my everyday inspiration. I work in watercolour and acrylics, both on paper and on canvas. I also produce woodblock prints. I believe in celebrating the space I'm in, wherever that happens to be. I was inspired to sketch in the West Midlands (while working there) and had two works accepted for the Coventry Open at the Herbert Gallery in March 2016 - the first London artist featured in that show in many years.
