I am known principally for for my paintings and photographic work.
An only child to a Catholic Spanish mother from Madrid and a Jewish Russian/Basque father (who was born and raised in French Algeria and the south of France), both lifelong self-employed entrepreneurs and I have had a multicultural upbringing.

I was born with an intersex genetic condition, having XXY chromosomes that led to being perceived and raised as male –my parents did not support a legal change of gender. In adulthood I lived a dual-gender-role-life until I was legally recognised as female. I have said: "My singular medical and psychological history has informed who and what I am and whilst it is not all of me it has left a lasting impression that in part, has shaped the person I am today."

I have travelled extensively abroad from young age. During my 20s I often back-packed for months at a time in Europe, North and Central America and SE Asia. Whilst studying Drama (1995-1997) I worked as a hairdresser in central London and participated in fringe productions of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream, Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie and Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest. At the same time I was also the lead singer/lyricist/songwriter in the rock bands: Agent Orange (1994-1997) and Squerm (1997-1999).

In 2000 I opened (with the help of my father) my own hair and beauty salon in London with three staff. When I sold it in 2004 it had a team of ten staff. 2005-2009 I worked as a free-lance corporate strategy consultant for Linksfield and their investment in California, International Racing Consultants (IRC) and its French Paris based associate, Astrium Services Enterprises, at directorial level. I was part of a multidisciplinary team that developed and improved business strategies and liaised with American and Mexican clients (Sporting organisations and private enterprises) to provide satellite based communications and global asset tracking.

I completed medical treatment for my gender related issues (2008-2013) and continue to now work as a part time private art tutor and home visiting hairdresser whilst I paint.

REGARDING ART I have always created art and especially painting, in a rented studio and I exhibit regularly. Once I had finished my transgender treatment I undertook a foundation course and then BA and now MFA –see above.
