Valerie Shephard grew up in Siberia, Russia. Her interest in drawing and painting began in her early childhood. She attended children art school and The Academic Art College, where she learned from artists members of The Russian Union of Artists. Later she moved to Moscow to study design. She graduated from College of Arts and Crafts in 2008.
She took part in the annual municipal and regional exhibitions such as Young Altay Talent and The Flower Expo. In 2009 she made the New Years` decorations for the administration of President of Russia. Later she designed costumes and scenery in a charity children's theatre.
She works with different genres and techniques, such as landscapes, portraits, still lives, graphics, caricatures and book illustrations.
In 2016 she and two of her art college mates created an art union named Paprika and hosted two personal exhibitions called “Cardinal Point” in Barnaul, Russia.
Since 2016 she has been a member of The International Arts Fund where she was featured at the annual New Year`s group exhibition in Moscow, Russia.
At the beginning of 2017 she joined Maidstone Art Society (UK).
Her work can now be found in private collections in Russia, Germany, United Kingdom and USA.
