Bio:

I am a writer, director and performer, working across genres to create interactive theatre, cabaret and immersive experience. Mostly self-producing, I am passionate about community and connection through the live event.

My work has taken me around the world from international festivals to intimate local gatherings and I am keen to develop a series of ‘Living Room Concerts’ to bring art to people in their own spaces, including retirement homes.

I have been fortunate enough to find an amazing group of fellow practitioners to share my journey with in 'The Authentic Artist' and have specialised recently in facilitating personal story-telling with older artists.

I love the rich diversity of my creative life and use dance, improvisation, written text and music to develop pieces, whether the end result is to be performed in conventional venues or pop-up stages.

I am proud to be part of London’s thriving and diverse cabaret and performance art scenes and regularly contribute new work to the David Lynch night, ‘The Double R’ at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club as well as guesting with wonderful originators like David Hoyle, Clementine The Living Fashion Doll, Marcus Reeves, Nathan Evans and Desmond O’Connor.

Current Projects:

I am co-creating a new theatre piece with Lynn Ruth Miller, (an 84 year old story-teller who began performing at the age of 70) about rage, age and ambition and directing a two-handed immersive play, 'Honey's Happening' for the Edinburgh Fringe.

With my long-term writing partner Michael Roulston (www.roulstonandyoung.co.uk) I have written a French Grand Guignol musical which will be workshopped in the Autumn.

I have also just starting preparations on a performance art piece about Kate Bush and a play about Anchorite nuns, both for Edinburgh 2019.

I regularly appear in cabaret as part of the Black Cat Salon Des Artistes and gig around the UK. For dates please visit my website.
