Rosie Kavanavoch is best known as the dark force of nature behind KmØssed, which documents the interconnected space between art and fashion through her practice as a photographer, collagist, jeweller, model, and writer.
Kavanavoch graduated from Media Arts at RMIT, before working with Melbourne galleries and presenting her first solo show, Kmossed at Centre Place (2007), which featured on Channel 10 and Lonely Planet’s Blue List of the Top 10 Cultural Attractions. Her next show, Platform Shoes, for LMFF 2008 featured on the cover of The Age EG.
After returning from a year working in New York City, she held her next major solo show, World of Kmossed (2010). She later relocated to London, where she worked with the award-winning jewellery designer Jordan Askill (2011), and recently returned to Melbourne to perpetuate the legacy that is Kmossed and design her first silk scarf range, Kmossed: Spider Bite Equals Dizzy Head, launching at VAMFF 2014.
