I am largely a self-taught artist, but currently undertaking courses at the Heatherley School of Fine Art. I work exclusively with oil paint on canvas, creating heightened realism with a limited palette. My passion for hyper-realist representation stemmed from studying the works of Gerhard Richter, Chuck Close and Richard Hamilton.

The central themes of my work are sentimental and seek to emit human emotion in a finished realist painting - particularly that of longing and nostalgia. The tension between wanting to express oneself and wanting to conceal oneself is manifested through recurring bed sheets, elusive night-life scenes and subjects captured among photographic distortions.
