Naomi Kuyck-Cohen

Location: London

Naomi is a designer for performance and visual artist with a strong base in collaborative working, playfulness, and dramaturgy. When collaborating with artists and creating images, one of her prime interests is exploring how visual references and metaphors can be accessible to universal audiences. Through an emotional engagement with recognised images and memory we can communicate that which other forms can't, but she believes these must appeal to people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and identities. She believes in performance being a democratic space for all involved and enjoys pushing the possibilities of that in a live setting.

Naomi graduated from Wimbledon College of Art and has since returned to tutor students on artistic collaboration within performance.

Naomi is a regular collaborator of visual art duo Cut Tongues, and is also currently working with artist Amy Pitt to develop a story project.
Her previous work has been seen at various theatres, arts centres, and non-arts venues including Battersea Arts Centre, Rich Mix, Soho Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Theatre Royal Plymouth, The Vaults, Old Vic Workrooms, and The Yard.
