UNIQUE ENCAUSTIC PORTRAITURE
Encaustic photos combine photography with the ancient art of painting using beeswax and pigments in a layering technique that create wonderful surface and texture onto the photograph adding a painterly effect and beautiful look to the image. There is a delicious sweet scent, a soft touch and a lovely feel to beeswax-infused photos. I can take a photo and transform it into original artwork by painting organic beeswax onto the photo and accenting the surface with oil paints which brings art and photography together in a union of elegance and creativity.
The photography is significant a part of me. It gives me a voice to tell stories, helps connect with world and show different perspective. It allows me to write my own story and documenting other’s stories.
I love ideas and trying new things. I love to photograph people and moments, which represent true emotions and tell wonderful stories. Through photography I connect with people, share passion and build relationship with them.
In my style I am looking for simplicity, decisive moments and interesting light composed or combined with texture, dimension and mood. Beauty, colour and art make fantastic combinations, which inspired me every day.
My experimentation with photography helped me to discover photo encaustic. The photograph is painted with encaustic medium – a mixture of beeswax and dammar resin. Encaustic art instantly intrigued me and I began researching everything about it and trying different techniques by myself, which gave me endless possibilities to express my soul in a creative and meaningful way.
My work is an expression of how I view the world. I am preserving a little piece of history through my lens and continue to live through my work to evoke emotions in the viewer.
I love ideas and trying new things. I love to photograph people and moments, which represent true emotions and tell wonderful stories. Through photography I connect with people, share passion and build relationship with them.
