Bio:

Carolina Maggio's art investigates the mystery of human consciousness.

Maggio discovered her style during her first travel to the Amazon jungle in 2008, where she came to understand the interconnectivity between all elements of life.

She found in art a natural conduit for her experience of reality. In 2005 she left her native Milan for London where her work was immediately well received.

In 2008, travelling to Mexico, she worked as a muralist in San Cristobal and exhibited her work around the country. Since then, street art became one of her dearest forms of self-expression.

She then spent a year exploring Central and South America; living and working within the indigenous community that initiated her to the mysteries of their mystical traditions. This had a great impact on Maggio’s life and signified a major inspiration for her art.

Maggio moved to New York in 2010 where she produced and exhibited some of her most notorious pieces, inspired by her time spent in South America.

Now based in London, Maggio continues the exploration of her human existence, painting to depict the experience.
