Bio:

I'm a media artist and organiser of exhibitions through which I've communicated complex scientific and artistic ideas in a fun and accessible way.

During my Bachelors in Fine Art in The Netherlands I practiced traditional art techniques such as sculpting, painting and video art. For my masters degree I studied Media Technology at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science.

Since my graduation in 2005 I’ve led various projects in the fields of technology, design and art through collaborations with the Augmented Reality Lab in The Hague, Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, the Bio-Robotics Lab at the Technical University of Delft, the Cultural Heritage Lab of the University of Amsterdam, V2_Lab and most recently with the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences.

My range of experiences has been quite broad as I have worked with both large institutes such as the internationally renowned Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and smaller self-initiated ventures such as the travelling exhibition Pretty Smart Textiles. I’ve often been the person responsible for the overall concept, design and production of the projects. This means that my specialties vary from 3D design for sketching, to graphic design for the communication, to web development, to coordinating and helping to realize the production of the decors.

Recently I started a limited company here in London doing mainly digital productions - like websites - to build a base for doing the more artistic productions. I'm looking for a work/live space and/or perhaps a residency programme to get my focus on doing more physical productions again.
