Griffith Davies

Location: Charlton, London

I am a South London based artist who works in plywood, cut by hand then painted, sanded and reassembled.
My work is concerned with views of city and town, of landscape and seascape. Each piece pays particular attention to the drama in the interaction between buildings and sky, land and sea.
My pictures are inspired by views seen around London and the Thames Estuary, Hastings, The Norfolk Coast and the Bristol Channel. However they often seek to evoke more elemental places, half remembered or imagined.
I studied Printmaking at Loughborough School of Art and Central School of Art & Design In London. I exhibit regularly in London, Hastings and Norfolk.
