Diana Policarpo (Lisbon, Portugal)
Works and lives in Lisbon and London.
Artist, Compositor and independent producer works in different artistic fields, proposing transversality in Contemporary Art.
Graduated in Fine Arts at ESAD (School of Arts and Design - Caldas da Rainha) in 2008 and completed her Masters in Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2013.
From 2005, she began participating in collective and solo exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, including Pavilhão 28 "Quartos/Rooms/Chambres/Zimmer" (Lisbon), Espaço Avenida 211 "11 Assoalhadas" (Lisbon), Salon e.V Atelierhaus "Von Finstern" (Leipzig) and Kunsthalle Baden-Baden;
Between 2010 and 2014 developed several solo and group performances, outstanding among which are "The Walking Piece" with Jenna Bliss part of "Stop, Look, LIsten!" (comissioned for Art Licks/Jerwood;London,October 2013), "The Housing Act" with Daniel Fernandez Pascual - Lisbon Architecture Trienal (Lisbon, September 2013), "Here on Earth as Well" (London, July 2013) and "Lecture-Drum" (London, March 2013).
Among several projects she curated "Listening Seminar: Sound Works by Women Artists" invited by Mark Fisher (London, MArch 2014) and founded sound and collective online platform Erinyes (www.erinyes-sound.com) which will be an archive and a space to circulate more female artists projects and events related to Art, Performance and Music.
Her works is represented in national and international collections and various publications.
