Diana Wolzak

Location: I live in London.

I graduated from Central st Martins in Fine Art in 1999. On my way from home to the studio, I find things, discarded domestic and industrial debris. I salvage the objects and engage with their properties. I paint, wrap, attach and combine elements together to create a new object, sculpture or 3D drawing. During this process the work becomes autobiographical, but also constantly refers to Art history. They contain the past but are also in the present. The works are collages or assemblages, temporary and fragile in construction often subsequently translated into drawings.

I have shown in London, France and The Netherlands. My work is in private collections. I often do residencies and work on site specific installations
