Bio:

I am a Visual Artist and Filmmaker.
Rayna draws inspiration from everything she experiences around her, drawing source imagery from community ephemera and utilizing local pound shop materials to produce bold collages that explore diverse topics both global and personal, but always with a mischievous touch. Socio-political issues are often adressed and this juxtaposition is made uneasy by using an intensely bright colour range.
Trained in fine art, Rayna went on to work in digital photograpahy and film, creating and conducting many successful collaborative arts projects and documentaries, until a recent shoulder injury made her re-assess the time she spent working on the computer.
As a result she has returned to an older, non-collaborative, pre-digital method of creating hand-crafted works on paper.
