London based artist and educator Francesca Centioni-Dene believes in encapsulating her philosophy through maintaining a sense of freedom. Francesca's practice is based on the use of historical and alternative photographic processes. Interested in exploring and extending dialogues she interconnects print, collage and embroidery into her work.
Francesca often links ideas of the subconscious, specifically the interrelationship between reality and the imagined. Her playful approach allows her work to act as fleeting encounters and found thoughts.
Francesca completed her BA(Hons) in Photography at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL in 2007 and has since been a practicing artist. She also has a PGCE in Education and teaches in both formal and informal settings including Museum of Childhood, Dulwich Picture Gallery and October Gallery.
