Aitor Albo (b. 1973 Basque Country).
Visual artist living and working in London, UK.
My recent practice has developed from my interest in the constructed meaning that the physical and sensory qualities of object allow us to imagine and in particular in how using a sculptural language can subvert this meaning to explore ideas of hierarchy, value and belonging by playing off conscious construction against fortuitous encounter and carefully considered gestures against everyday images, materials, objects and actions, either in a literal or edited form.
