Two temporary commission opportunities in Wandsworth, London

Opportunity Closing Date:
Sunday, September 17, 2017 - 12:00

Tideway is looking for two artists to help create pieces of art to display at two super sewer sites in Wandsworth.

The two successful artists will work with local schools and community groups to help design the pieces that will adorn construction site hoardings in King George’s Park in Wandsworth Town Centre and Falconbrook Pumping Station in York Gardens.

The designs will be influenced by the sites connections to the River Thames, using the artists’ own interpretation within their proposals.

The artworks will be on show for around two years. Tideway welcomes applications from artists working in all disciplines.

Applications for the King George's Park commission are particularly welcome from artists with experience of and interest in working with children and their families as well as community groups.

For the Falconbrook Pumping Station commission, experience of working in a school setting will be advantageous.

Applications from artists based in or with a good knowledge of Wandsworth area and its community are particularly encouraged. The successful artists will need to have or apply for an enhanced DBS.

The deadline for applications is 12.00pm on Sunday, 17 September 2017.
