Bow Arts are looking for artists to take part in a group exhibition in our Project Space in Wapping this Winter. This opportunity is open to those who have graduated with in the last 2 years. The exhibition will take place in the last 2 weeks of November 2017.
The Project Space in Wapping is based within our Rum Factory studios site on Pennington Street, and can be accessed from the street. Just 20 minutes’ walk from Brick Lane in Shoreditch, and 15 minutes from Tower Hill, this is a central location in an area that is bursting with history.
This is an exciting opportunity to exhibit in London, with proximity to around 100 practising artists, and be part of an event which will be heavily publicised. Bow Arts can offer 1 feedback/mentoring session per selected artist, including reviews of CV, website, portfolio and proposal, including suggestions for future tips on how to professionalise your practice. There will be basic installation assistance provided. All mediums will be considered. We strongly suggest attending our Networking Evening on Wednesday 27th September at Bow Arts Trust (Bow Road), as this is a chance to speak with the curator and fellow peers and to find out more about Bow Arts as an organisation and about the open call. Tickets can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-professionalise-your-practice-networking-evening-tickets-36830951367
We will hold a viewing of the exhibition space on Thursday 14th September at 10.30am. Please email email@example.com to RSVP.
We would ask that successful applicants take part in an artist Q + A session during the exhibition. Bow Arts can offer partial invigilation, but selected artists should be willing to commit to 2-3 days over the two weeks to be present for visitors wanting to engage directly with them.
