It is an exciting time for culture and heritage in Waltham Forest as we work to deliver the first ever London Borough of Culture programme across the borough for our residents and visitors to enjoy, building on our current cultural strategy.

This important role will be responsible for curating exhibitions and collections at William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum.

You will have a strong visual arts curatorial background, an academic background in art history or social history, and extensive experience of working with artists, researchers, stakeholders and interest groups across the arts and museums sector.

The successful candidate will have three years of experience working in a museums environment, with particular experience in exhibitions and collections management. You will be required to manage staff and to work on a multi-faceted exhibitions programme within budget against a series of deadlines. You will undertake management of the William Morris collection, which recently achieved Arts Council Designation status, and curatorial aspects of the redevelopment of Vestry House Museum, Walthamstow.
